Fee Structures

Can You Afford To Not Afford Us?
If you are “winging it” alone -- swimming the quagmire of legal whatnots -- without sound legal advice, we know it is most likely because you are understandably reluctant to pay legal fees. Perhaps it's a family matter you've been putting off because you wonder whether you'll still have a job next month. Or perhaps you have recently opened a pizzeria -- and you need to pay the tomato guy before you pay a lawyer. We understand your concerns -- and we can and will work with you.
Personal and business mistakes and problems can be costly and potentially devastating. A diversion of scarce resources from a family or business is never a welcome event. However, there are times when the most cost-effective thing to do for the long term is to get capable help - and act. We can help you sort that out and -- in the long run -- we believe, save you money.
Anticipating problems and issues, and crafting solutions and ways with you to minimize litigation and other risks is what we are about. Our flexible and reasonable fee schedules are designed to help you budget for a variety of services so that you do not have to be alone.
Especially in view of our flexible fee programs and structures, the question is not so much “can you afford to work with us?” as “can you afford not to work with us?”
What Makes Us Different?
Our firm appreciates that minimizing professional fees is always a key concern -- and should be. Limited resources must be allocated with extreme care -- especially in a poor economy. We know that. We also know that individuals and businesses can no longer indulge the luxury of just “turning loose” their lawyers on problems - without controls, budgets, reporting, and accountability. Our firm encourages economic controls -- and we help you design them. Our flexible fee structures and policies permit, encourage and/or require:
- Flat rates where the scope of work and rates/charges for that work are clearly defined
- Efficient, form driven approaches to common needs
- Competitive and less costly hourly rates than lawyers in similar practice areas
- Budgets for professional fees
- Client approval for litigation expenses
- Regular feedback suited to the needs of the client -- ranging from minimal to whatever reporting best suits the particular matter and the client's desires
- Prompt return of phone calls and other communications
Our Cost Structure
- Free 20 minute initial evaluation/consultation -- preferably, where possible, at your business
